Regarding Sluggish/Slow to move Speedometer and Tach needles (don't move for 20 minutes or only move with a bang on top of the dash). We are pleased to announce that we can now repair this problem. To repair this problem alone is $229. To repair all the problems (backlighting, fuel gauge, partially lit needles and sluggish speedometer/tach needles) the price is $329.
If you have read elsewhere on the internet about replacing 2 transistors on the 1998,99 Frontier Instrument Cluster, save your time - this does not work!
Also note: If the 1998, 99 Frontier Cluster has been tampered with we may not be able to repair it - specifically, attempting to pull off the speedometer or any other gauge needle will damage the meter movement beyond repair. If unit has not been tampered with, we can repair it. Before sending it anywhere else for possible repair ask them if they have the "reconfiguration code" - if they don't know what you are talking about, your next step is to call us - we have the code.
